Our products - Overview
G D Harries & Sons is ideally equipped to satisfy
the need for both quality limestone aggregates and
quality High PSV aggregates for the construction and
construction related sectors, giving us a real competitive
edge.
Limestone Aggregates
Blaencilgoed Quarry is a carboniferous limestone deposit which supplies
much of the region's demand for aggregates used in asphalt, concrete
and other civil engineering projects. We fully utilise the quarry's
reserves, processing additional materials into fill materials for local
markets and in the production of asphalt and other bituminous materials
in the on-site Coating Plant for use in highway construction and
maintenance.
High PSV Aggregates
Nant-y-Mynydd, near Neath, produces High PSV Aggregates for use in
the uppermost surfaces of highways. The aggregate achieves a Polished
Stone Value of 68-70 making it one of the UK's most desired aggregates
for surface skidding resistance.
Bituminous Materials
We offer a complete range of bituminous products that can be delivered
in dedicated insulated vehicles or collected by small works vehicles as
used by many utility and public works organisations.
Decorative Aggregates
We accommodate the need for smaller loads and decorative aggregates
in the domestic market through A & C Aggregates. The full product
range can be viewed at A & C Aggregates, Rowlands View, Narberth or
on line at www.acaggregates.co.uk
